Arauka Hanging Bridge San Marcelino, Zambales

Arauka Hanging Bridge is located at San Marcelino, Zambales. Crossing the Santo Tomas River and connected to the road going to Mapanuepe Lake and Mapanuepe Campsites. Known for the name “Tulay na Bakal” this serves as the go to route for motorcycles and tricycles to cross the other side of the river where communities are still situated even after the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.

We used this path when we went to a ride to Mapanuepe Lake. It’s intimidating to cross at first but when you’re already on the bridge it’s more like excitement than hesitation feel. Just be careful crossing the hanging bridge. The bridge is old and already wear out.

When we arrived at the Arauka Hanging Bridge, kids greeted us. Actually greeted us begging for food. We gave them some and promise that we’ll give them more when we get back. We planned to go back there and prepare food packs for them. Eat with them somewhere under the bridge and play parlor games. Original plan is to involve my Rider’s group but we decided to make it just our family effort. To reach out and give them a little fun.

We’ll be back kids, we’ll have lots of fun!
