This is my first visit to Mahogany Market. We have a short motorcycle ride together with my co-workers. The plan was, we’ll have our breakfast at Mahogany Market before we proceed to our unplanned ride.
Mahogany Market Tagaytay: The Best Bulalo in Town
Mahogany Market is located at 10 Mahogany Ave, Tagaytay, Cavite. Before you even reach the market, you will already smell the beef meat aroma. The bulaluhan stalls are located at the 2nd floor of the beef meat stall building.
We choose the stall in the middle to eat. We ordered two sets of Bulalo and Tawilis. I love the Tawilis. Crispy like chicharon. Deeping it to patis(fish sauce) makes it more perfect. I forgot how was the Bulalo taste. I think I need to visit again soon with my family. By the way, free banana, eat all you can!
Side Trips: Twin Lakes, Caleruega Church, Kaybiang Tunnel
After eating our breakfast, we agreed to continue our ride to South West of Nasugbu Batangas.
Twin Lakes
Twin Lakes is a 1,200-hectare mixed-use leisure and resort community that raises the bar of living in Tagaytay. Within the tourism estate, you’ll get the best of Europe at the first residential cluster called Twin Lakes Vineyard Residences, which composed of three mid rise condominium towers named after famous grape varieties: Shiraz, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
Twin Lakes also has a unique mixed-use community development called Twin Lakes Vineyard, which spans 177-hectare of a natural landscape that offers the perfect view of the famous Taal Volcano, along with a view of the man-made lake within the estate.
Though we didn’t visit the resort proper, we took some pictures with the perfect overlooking view as our background. The best place to live with if you have the means. Supermarket on the side along with commercial bank and restaurants.
Caleruega Church
Also known as the Transfiguration Chapel located at Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas. This rustic church is standing perfectly in the midst of luscious greenery and colorful flowers abounding the place. Located at the highest point of Caleruega, the view and landscape of the church is the most photographed. Couples and ordinary sightseers alike will enjoy the beauty of the church.
Just a piece of advice when you plan to visit the place, go there early so you can visit the whole property vicinity. We we’re not able to explore the whole place because of the time restraint since we still have stop overs to do on our ride.
Kaybiang Tunnel
Kaybiang tunnel is located at Nasugbu-Ternate Highway. It connects the Ternate, Cavite and Nasugbu, Batangas. The tunnel is very popular to bikers. The place is usually congested on weekends. Be cautions when entering and exiting the tunnel. There are people taking pictures on the end of the tunnel and sometimes in the middle of the highway.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to take pictures at the end of the tunnel. Miscommunication between our head sprinter and fellow riders. Gladly we did a stop before we enter the tunnel. A place named “Perfect Spot for Sunset Shot” and took some pictures there.
